The surf is on again today. But I guess the wind was
onshore, judging from the type of the waves. This is probably the first, or
maybe the second time Krui Left works in this last ten days. However, the rain
that has been on since mid October last year doesn’t seem to be over yet this
end of April. Juts last night, it rained heavily, giving flood to the rivers
all around Krui.
There were four surfers taking Krui Left when I arrived at
the spot at about 9.30 this morning. About half an hour later there came
another surfer to make it five. About twenty minutes later, one surfer got
ashore. Then came two surfers to join in. Then came another two. And when I left
the place at about 11.00, there were eight surfers at all at Krui Left. But there
was nobody taking the Right, although it worked quite as well.
Meanwhile, there were some other whities at the shore. Some of
them walked down the beach, while some others watched the surfed. They looked
like not being ready for surfing, if they surf at all.
I think there are more people coming but the weather doesn’t
seem to be ready yet as the rain keeps on coming and it turns overcast every
afternoon as of late.
