April Move 5: The Peak

Krui Peak worked remarkably well this morning. It was about three or four feet. The tide was high and the day was clear. It’s just a perfect time to surf. However, there weren’t many surfers in the water. They might have been surfing somewhere else instead. I guessed the other spots worked too, so much as the Peak worked this morning.

When I arrived there at about 9 o’clock, there was nobody taking the Peak but one guy. And there were three guys taking the Leftover (the other spot left to the Peak). This guy at the Peak handled all the swells that came over him one by one, all for himself. When he was fed up with the Peak, he paddled to the right. Yes, the right plank of the peak, which is much longer than the Peak itself, worked too this morning. This guy seemed to enjoy the right plank even more for he never came back to the Peak.

A few minutes to ten, there came some other guys, surfers and body boarders. I guessed they must have checked other spots before they finally came here. I wondered if the other surfs worked too, just as well.

“Have you just been to the Left,” I asked one guy.

“Yes,” he said.

“How was it?”

“Small.”

“How about Mandiri?” I asked. I know they came from Mandiri.

“It was small too,”

OMG, every other surf were small this morning but the Peak. No wonder all these guys turned up here.
