I met this guy at The Peak the other day while he was taking
pictures with his highest end DSLR canon, and so did I. He stood in between The Peak and The
Leftover. It was just a nice point of view and a perfect angle to take
pictures, where you can point your lens to The Peak and to The Leftover at the
same time.
Matt knows a lot about photography and he has been taking
pictures for years with different types of cameras. And since I am a new DSLR
user I asked a lot of questions to him.
I came to him with my DSLR which I’ve just been using for
this last four days.
“How long have you been taking pictures?” he asked.
“Four days,” I replied.
I have been taking pictures for this last two years
actually, but this is the first time I used a DSLR. The camera that I used to
take picture with was a pocket camera. And you know it’s just simple to use a
pocket camera. As long as you can push the shutter, you can take a picture. But
using a DSLR is a bit more complex and you got to learn it. While learning from
a manual book can be confusing, asking someone to show you is a more practical.
“Taking a picture of a sunset, you need to adjust the
aperture, so you don’t expose too much light to the lens. Turn the dial button
to AV, and turn the F numbers higher up to 8 or 9,” he explained.
Thank you Matt. It’s nice to meet you.
