Krui Left worked again this morning. When I arrived at the beach at about 9:30, it was
working about one to two feet, but it wasn’t very consistent. The swells were
mostly small about one to one and a half feet, but sometimes it got bigger. There
was one surfer in the water. He hung out more than surfing the waves. A group
of surfers came by car. They checked the swells for a few minutes and decided
to leave the place then.
It was
cloudy. The sky was dark, the sun didn’t shine and it looked like going to
rain. I didn’t take any pictures for the light wasn’t good enough and left the
place at about 10:00.
But the
rain didn’t come, and the weather turned clear and it was sunny again. I came
back to the beach at 11:00 and I saw The Left was working bigger. I saw six
people at The Left and one at The Right. The surfers came and went away any
time but the numbers of surfers in the water remained about six or seven. Four or
five surfers gave up and got out of the water at about 11:40, and there were
two surfers left. But this two surfers didn’t stay longer. They got out of the
water at about 12:00.
Krui Left
was probably the only surf that worked this morning. This surfer that I met at
by the beach told me that he had checked other surfs before they came to Krui
Left. He said that Karang Nyimbur wasn’t working and there was nobody surfed,
and neither was Way Jambu, and neither was Mandiri. “This is the best,” he
said, pointing to The Left.
