I met another surf learner this morning. His name is Shane.
He surfed at the beach breaks, between The Left and The Right, in Krui town.
Yes, the break is just the right place to learn to surf. I see many people try
to surf here.
Shane is from Canada . He lives somewhere near Toronto , in the
hinterland, in a town that has no surf at all. However, judging from his move
and maneuvers, I think he is a talented surfer. He is not just a beginner. He
is like a lower intermediate, I guess. He can ride the waves, although he falls
down later. He can be a pro surfer if he continue on surfing in the
future.
“Where do you learn to surf?” I asked.
“In Thailand .
I stayed in Phuket , Thailand for a year.”
“So you can speak Thai.”
“Yes, a little.”
“How long have you been surfing?”
“About six months.”
“How long have you been surfing here?”
“It’s my second day here. And I’ll be staying here for about
six more weeks.”
“OK, it’s nice to meet you,” he said and went to take pick
up his gears in the sand.
Bye, Shane. Keep on surfing. You’ll be the next Shane Dorian
if you do.
