There are two chances you'll experience if you hang out by the beach in Krui (especially when you sit down on a stump of a dead tree); you'll robbed into English conversation, or you'll be asked for a picture taking with some school girls. Both are nice experience though.
If you don't have anything to do, why not try to speak with locals. You'll lose nothing to say a few words and answer their questions, while at the same time, you can also learn some Indonesian words. It is in this way that both you and the local can improve your language learning. And besides, you can make friend with a local and give them a good impression. That's to kill two birds with one stone!
And why not give them chance to make a picture with you as well? Take it easy, look at the camera, and feel like being a movie star. That's what Johny Depp and Leonardo di Caprio do when they are on holiday!
