I don’t know whether it’s already evening or just afternoon
of the day. This is a story about Krui Left today, from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m.
When
I arrived at the beach about 3.30 p.m. today, Krui Left were working well. It
was about two or three feet and there were four or five people surfing. But not
long after that, one surfer came out of the water, only to see other surfers coming
out from their cribs and went into the water one by one. The later the day, the
more surfers coming until it then got enough. But the number was never more
than enough since the surfers kept on coming in and out every now and then. As far
as I am concerned, there were ten surfer at the same time
at the most, foreigners and locals.
This is
the fisrt time I took surfing pictures in the afternoon (you know the afternoon
light isn’t good enough and you need to
adjust your camera more as it consistently lost focus). And this is the first
time I see surfers were so mixed with foreigners and locals. Now I know that
local surfers surf mostly in the evening as I rarely see them surf in the
morning.
The surf
was pumping consistently for the two hours I was there.
Every surfers had their turn and they seem to enjoy every turn the got very
much. But one thing that gave me pain in the eyes is that the local surfers
didn’t seem to know the rules. They dropped in on other surfers and almost bump
into each other many times. The local surfers need to be told about the rules.
