Be careful when you surf alone. Michael Glanford (46) an Aussie surfer was found dead in the surf in Karang Nyimbur surf, March 12, 2009. The two fishermen who found his body in the sea said that the sea was calm when they saw a surfboard afloating nearby their fishing boat. They thought they just saw a surfboard so they pull it out. It wasn't until they saw a body lashed to the board came out of water did they realized that the surfboard was manned, and, however, the body was already dead.
The owner of "Ombak Indah" camp where Michael stayed said that she didn't know anything about the accident. She didn't realize what happened until the man of the next door camp reported that local fishermen had found a body who didn't stay with them. Then the body was rushed to nearby hospital in Liwa for autopsy.
Michael's girl friend who was with him when the accident happened said that they didn't have enough money to bring the body back to Australia, so, after staying a few days in the mortuary in Liwa hospital, she decided to cremate the body in the crematorium in Bandarlampung.
