LA is another off the beaten track surf in Krui for you to know. It’s located about
seven km up north from Krui town. This surf is rarely taken because not many people
know. And though they know it, they don’t know the access to get there. So this
surf is not just as popular among surfers as the other surfs in town.
LA is
a beach break surf that pretty much looks like Mandiri. The sand is grey and vast
and the beach line is long. Like Mandiri, it has many swells everybody can
choose. It can take a lot of surfers at the same time. The flaw is if you come
by car you cannot park it close to the beach like you can do at Mandiri because
the access is forbidden (an iron bar stuck to the concrete road for this
purpose), but if you come by bike you can park it right by the beach, although the
access is slippery in the rainy season, and there is a small drain of water
that may hamper your move.
