Rent A Car in Krui

This is the type of car most liked by tourists when they are touring Krui surfs. Local people call it APV. It’s a nice car with space wide enough to take your surfboards and all your gears, but of course you have to put your surfboards on top for your convenience, just like all surfers do.

This car is increasingly more and more popular in Indonesia for its reasonable price. Local people use this car for long way taxi (we call it ‘travel’). ‘Travel’ is Indonesian term for fancy car transport other than bus. A ‘travel’ is more expensive than a bus and don’t have a fixed schedule like a bus. It will hit the road any time when they got enough passengers.

If you happen to catch a travel or charter a car to get to Krui from Bandarlampung, or the reverse, you will have a good chance to get this car. 

A ‘travel’ can take seven passengers at the most in this car. And if there are four or five of you, it’s a good idea to rent this car when you are in Krui, you’ll have enough space to enjoy yourselves a nice ride. And if you have a driving license, you can drive the car yourselves as long as the owner of the car allow you to. The folks in this picture ride the car themselves.

You can rent a car in Krui for a variety of price, ranging from 250.000 rupiah a day for a small van (with a driver) to 300.000 for a standard car like APV (also with a driver), not including the gas, which means that you have to spend some more for the gas.
